Intermission

A short classical interlude; or is it?

After the darkness and decay of 'Take My Hand', I felt it important to break the tension and emotion. A lot of my songs, such as 'Chemicals' which follows, have a upbeat melancholy, but 'Take My Hand' hits differently; there's no resolve.

As a result, I created 'Intermission' as a self-describing palette cleanser. Something a little unexpected, inspired by phrases from Frédéric Chopin's Étude Op. 10, No. 12 (Revolutionary Étude). Something fun and playful, and a nod to my classical influences.
