Vocal Fireworks; an ending.
When writing 'Sunrise', I wanted to make the song an emotive, vocal fireworks display. It's a sibling to 'First Light' in that it talks softly about the aftermath of a fall out or a difficult time in a relationship, but it's a triumphant celebration of the passing by of that time.
Here, the instrumentation is sutbly inspired by York ft. ATB - On The Beach - you can almost picture the drone shot over the warm bay. The peaks in this song are just pure utter bliss to sing, and they came out like absolute ear candy. I'm so thrilled for people to hear this.
At the end, I stuck 'now' on repeat in a climb, and there's a kind of 'end credits' to the album in the overture of the song.
Lyrics
Sunlight kisses my skinFeeling warmth again withinSunshine gets me highDreaming of sunny times for you and I
We weathered the storm (x2)I see sun. Rising up. (x2)
Holding you closely and watching the sunrise again (x4)
Rain clouds fading awayPeace time for us todayBlue skies are all aroundNo fear for us now
